The Falcons played very hard on offense, but their defense couldn’t hold off the Cowboys offense that made alot of big plays.  Michael Vick had a great game completing 16 of 24 passes for 237 yards passing with 4 TDs and 1 INT (it was returned for a TD).  He also carried the ball 8 times for 56 yards (7.0 ypc).  Warrick Dunn played thru pain in his calf and carried the ball 18 times for 56 yards (3.1 ypc) and he caught 2 passes for 19 yards.  Justin Griffith only carried the ball once, for 15 yards.  He also caught the ball 4 times for 34 yards and 2 TDs.  Roddy White had a good game with 3 catches for 104 yards.  Alge Crumpler caught 5 passes for 59 yards.  Michael Jenkins caught 3 passes for 37 yards and a TD.  Ashley Lelie added 2 catches for 17 yards and a TD.

OLB Michael Boley had a good game with 6 tackles and an interception.  Rod Coleman added 2 sacks.  The Cowboys carried the ball 27 times for 94 yards (3.5 ypc).  The Cowboys threw the ball real well as they completed 22 of 29 passes for 258 net yards thru the air.

The Falcons playoff hopes took a hard jolt with this loss that leaves them at 7-7 on the year.

Too bad the refs didn’t see T.O. spit in D’Angelo’s face. I don’t think that kind of action should ever be tolerated. Though I have to admit when Vick gave fans the “bird” a few weeks ago I didn’t think it was that big a deal. A break in composure, but not like spitting personal saliva in someone’s face, and Vick was fined 10,000 dollars.

It was anyone’s game, and I was thrilled to see the Falcons have some success, even if they could not pull off the win. How could a defensive line look so strong and push back Dallas’ offense so well and still lose the game? Hand it Tony Romo, literally. This guy was a completion machine last night. No matter what was going on, when he put that ball in the air it sailed right where it needed to go.

Vick did not help his case by leaving the game, but I think before the fans start calling Vick a quitter, they should realize we don’t know the extent of his pain. As a female fan, I can only ever hope for a vicarious thrill watching the game, or engaging in football talk with other women on http://www.ivillage.com/femalefan, but from where I was sitting, he had that real “oh no” look on his face after getting injured.

I have a problem with Vick leaving the game because of a groin injury and see him waalking around fine after the game. I think last night was all about the record book for him. He played a great game, but I’m starting to wonder about his commitment to the team.
