Coach Bobby Petrino resigns from the Atlanta Falcons

Blogged under Big Falcons News,Bloglockers,Front Page,General by admin on Tuesday 11 December 2007 at 9:40 pm

Bobby Petrino resigned today after the Falcons started his first season as a NFL Coach with a 3-10 record.  Petrino will be named the head coach at Arkansas tomorrow.  He won’t likely ever get another chance to coach in the pros after quitting without even finishing the season.  Petrino found the NFL much tougher than college as you don’t get to make your own schedule.  Playing 8 games on the road every season and with a salary cap in which the teams almost spend as much as each other…..he found things way too tough.

Yeah, he quit cause it was too hard.

Not because the Atlanta Falcons are a dysfunctional franchise that will take years to repair, something he didn’t sign up for.

Coaching in the NFL sucks. He made the smart move. The Arkansas job is far better.

College football is the minor leagues and that’s where Petrino belongs.
