Things didn’t go too well for the Falcons in this game until the 4th quarter when they scored 17 points to pull away for the win.  Matt Ryan completed 34 of 52 passes for 345 yards with 2 TD passes and 1 INT (it was returned 28 yards for a TD by Redskins’ OLB Ryan Kerrigan).  He also lost a fumble today.  Michael Turner led the way on the ground for the Falcons today with 18 carries for 67 yards (3.7 ypc) with 1 TD run.  He also carried the ball 2 times for 2 yards (1.0 ypc) in this game.  TE Tony Gonzalez (13 rec, 123 yards, TD), WR Julio Jones (10 rec, 94 yards, TD) and WR Roddy White (4 rec, 68 yards) led the way in the passing game for the Falcons today.  The Falcons finished up with 83 yards rushing on 28 carries (3.0 ypc) and they also completed 34 of 52 passes (65.4%) for 338 yards as they had possession of the ball for 37:01.

The defense was pretty solid against the pass, but not so good against the run today.  LB Sean Weatherspoon led the way for the Falcons on D today with 11 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack and 2 QB hits.  He is the guy who drilled Robert Griffin and knocked him out of the game.  Safety William Moore (8 tackles), CB Dunta Robinson (6 tackles, 1/2 a sack, 1 tackle for a loss, 2 passes defensed, 1 QB hit and 1 interception) and safety Thomas DeCoud (3 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception) also had solid games for the Falcons.  The Redskins finished up with 129 yards rushing on 21 carries (6.1 ypc) and they also completed 15 of 24 passes (62.5%) for 187 yards.  The Falcons are now 5-0 on the year.

I think the biggest problem the Falcons have is their run defense Noland. They are giving up 142.8 yards rushing per game and 5.4 yards per carry. Other than that, it’s all systems go for the 5-0 Falcons.
